'I write to you with such pleasure to thank you for the fantastic holiday we have recently had in your beautiful house (Easter 2008). The accommodation was simply wonderful, comfortable, tastefully furnished and very well equiped. There is a veritable feast of things to do in this part of the Perigord Vert region in the Dordogne. As well as famous and outstandingly interesting cities, towns & villages to visit within easy drive of the property, you have the Litttle Venice of France, the picture postcard holiday town of Brantome, beautiful and vibrant. The area is world famous for its food and wine and there are excellent restaurants to suit every pocket. Vineyards will make you very welcome and of course obligatory wine tasting if you wish! Lots of fun and sporty activities to keep you & the kids happy including hot air ballooning, swimming pool, golf courses, tennis, boat trips & windsurfing. There are inland beaches by the side of lakes and several places where you can hire 1, 2 or 3 seater canoes for fun filled trips along the rivers. There are castles, chateaux, museums, abbeys, caves full of stalagmites & stalactites just waiting for you to explore.

  • Although self catering, on-site dining, snacks & drinks service are available delivered to your property, served poolside or in a private dining room with waiter service. Pets are welcome subject to an additional one off cleaning fee of £15 GBP. Daily maid, dog walking and crèche facilities also available.
    Rates include all utilities, linen and towels for use in the bathroom. Please bring pool towels with you or they can be provided for nominal cost.
    A non-returnable deposit is required upon making your reservation and full final payment is required eight weeks prior to departure date and should include an additional security deposit refundable upon confirmation the property is left clean, tidy & breakage free. Villa should be left in the same clean state in which it was found otherwise a £50 cleaning fee will apply.

  • Exposed stonework in four of the bedrooms is 'pierre apparente', typical of the restored pinky, beige stone of the Perigordine region and each one of the four bedrooms has exposed beams. Two bedrooms have two single beds each but these are easily converted to make large doubles if required. With the characterful old stone walls the entire house enjoys a consistently comfortable temperature and to ensure your comfort rooms have ceiling fans too. Altogether the house can comfortably accommodate eight persons.

Directions to Chez Kansei: From Brantome take the D939 towards Angouleme. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and continue along the D939. Pass by the town of Champagnac de Bel Air on the right and after approximately 8 kms you will arrive at the commune of Monsec. Continue along the same road driving through Monsec with the Beausejour Hotel on your left. After leaving Monsec continue past 'La Charue B&B' on the right and approximately half a kilometer further, look for small signpost on left hand side of road for BADAILLAC (marked by two black and white posts left and right with red cats eyes on top). Turn here and drive across the little bridge over the babbling brook and continue up the hill. Chez Kansei is the second house on the left. Owner will be on site to hand over keys and introduce you to your accommodation.
