Our self-catering villa apartment with its penthouse accommodation is set amidst an oasis of palm trees and exotic plants. The beautiful private estate of OASIS DE CAPISTRANO, Nerja, has won many awards for its design and the beautiful tropical communal gardens are well-tended by its team of gardeners. This attractive pueblo-style villa apartment has independent access and easy parking at the front of the property. The large, detached, open south facing terrace, which benefits from all-day sun, is private and has magnificent views on three sides to the Mediterranean, mountains, community gardens and swimming pools. The villa apartment has a comfortable, light and airy lounge/dining room and a new, open, fully-equipped kitchen. Doors lead from the lounge onto the terrace, which is equipped with garden furniture, sunlounger’s & BBQ. The two double bedrooms, sleeping four persons, have ceiling fans. The new bathroom, which is off the hall, has bath/shower, WC & washbasin. Cot available.

The villa is within easy walking distance of the centre of Nerja and Burriana beach. Good restaurants and a large supermarket are close by. The bus stops just 50 metres away and there is a regular service into town . Trips can also be taken west to Torre del Mar and Malaga, east to Almunecar and Almeria, and inland to Granada, Cordoba and Seville. The local tennis club which has three newly resurfaced courts is just five minutes walk away. Golf is only a short 15 minute drive away at Caleta. The lively old Andalucian town of Nerja is 50km east of Malaga and just 40 minutes by motorway from the international airport. Framed by dramatic coastal scenery, it is situated at the foot of the Sierra Almijara mountains, which is an ever-changing and interesting coloured backdrop. During the day there are breathtaking views of the coast from the palm-lined Balcon de Europa, an elegant promenade jutting out on a cliff and situated in the centre of the old town.

  • Changeover day is usually Saturday but this is negotiable. Access to the villa is from 4pm and departure by 10am. A non-refundable deposit of one-third is required and the balance payable 8-weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit is also required and this is returned promptly provided the property is left clean and no damage other than normal fair wear-and-tear occurs. Special rates are available for three weeks or more. Summer prices include electricity. The property is clean for your arrival.

The villa has everything you could want for your perfect holiday. The lounge has seating for six people and is equipped with two large settees. There is cable satellite TV including SKY films and sports channels. There is also a music centre for you to play your discs and tapes. We provide folders and booklets containing information on all the places of interest for you to visit in the surrounding area. The property has electric wall heaters for the winter months and ceiling fans in the bedrooms for the summer. The fully-equipped kitchen has a modern hob and oven, fridge, washing machine, microwave, toaster, ironing facilities and all the equipment you would need for everyday living. OASIS DE CAPISTRANO

On Oasis there are two full-sized swimming pools which are open all year and just a short stroll away from the property. There is also a large children’s pool for the very young. At the centre of the Oasis is a first-class restaurant offering excellent meals, outdoor bar, ice creams and pool tables. There is normally entertainment three nights a week in season. They also provide internet access facilities. For those wishing a choice there is also another restaurant at the entrance to the complex. Two petanque pitches are provided for those wishing to be modestly energetic. The complex has a 24 hour security guard patrol. Our cleaning staff make sure that everything is perfect for your arrival and bed linen and towels are changed weekly. For the benefit of all our guests we request that our clients do not smoke inside the property. For walkers there are many way-marked walks taking you along the coast or inland,

IN AND AROUND NERJA

Nerja, bustling by day and night all year, has all the facilities of a modern resort, charming but lively with its twisting alleyways, lined with family owned shops and an excellent variety of restaurants. Nerja has several popular beaches with lively bars and restaurants whilst other are quieter and more secluded with rock pools in which to explore marine life. The atmosphere in Nerja is that of time having stood still. Some of its streets are still cobbled and, in the surrounding countryside, you can see teams of oxen ploughing the fields. At the same time Nerja has all the facilities of a modern resort. Nerja is, of course, a paradise for water sports; swimming, sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving, water-skiing and fishing are all available. Nerja boasts many small coves between the Balcon de Europa and the very popular Burriana beach, a place in which to indulge oneself in the famous paella dish. See it being cooked over the beach fire at Ayo‘s restaurant, a favoured place to eat.

The surrounding countryside is filled with whitewashed, sleepy Andalusian villages and orchards scented with ripening oranges and lemons. Frigiliana, a 15 minutes drive from Nerja, is one of Andalusia’s most picturesque hill top villages. From here there are wonderful views over the surrounding valleys and out to the coast. The world famous Nerja caves are natural archaeological caves containing the world’s largest column. Each year it hosts the International Music Week and the Festival of Dance and Music. Inland, Lake Vinuela is well worth a trip to see this beautiful blue lagoon surrounded by the mountains. Granada and the Alhambra Palace are just over an hour’s drive away and the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada just 20 minutes from there. Take the scenic coast road east to Marina del Este, a bustling little port and then on to Almunecar whose Friday market is very popular. West from Nerja is Torre del Mar a busy town with a vast beach and elegant promenade.

Skiing Information:

Ski details - The massive and beautiful Sierra Nevada lines Granada’s horizon to the south and is mostly snow capped , even in summer. Wonderful skiing in the winter months around the popular Solynieve mountain resort on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada. A good road takes you to Granada and from here the Sierra Nevada is well signed. A road , which winds through an arid mountainous landscape before it climbs to an altitude of 3398m, a feat which has earned it the name of the highest road in Europe, brings you to the Pico de Veleta where you can take in the breathtaking views. Built for the 1992 Winter Olympics, this new town has a special magnetism attracting skiers and non-skiers alike.

Golf Information:

To the west of Nerja is Anoreta Golf, a parkland course, just 30 minutes drive. The design is a challenge to golfers of all levels. Water is a major hazard and is featured at eleven of the holes. Baviera golf is 10 minutes away. Another course landscaped to make the maximum potential of the views of the local mountains, pinewoods and the sea and enhanced with lakes and magnificent gardens. To the east, just half an hour's drive away, there is a 9-hole course at Salobrena.
