Dubai investment could be lucrative

Property investment abroad: 13 June 2008

Owners of a rental property in Dubai could find that their investment generates strong returns.

According to ShelterOffshore.com, high demand is forcing rental rates to grow at a faster pace than the emirate's house prices.

The website believes that this development could sway prospective buyers who had previously been hesitating over whether to invest in Dubai.

ShelterOffshore.com said: "This is exceptional news for investors who wanted to enter the market now it is more established but who were afraid they would be entering too late to gain strong rental income."

The online portal added that demand for rental accommodation is likely to be high all year round, as it consistently offers hot and sunny weather conditions.

Therefore, it can be considered an appealing holiday destination at any time of the year.

According to government figures, Dubai attracted more than six million foreign leisure travellers in 2007.
