Investors 'should meet with fellow property owners'
Property investment abroad: 17 June 08Prospective rental investors have been advised to talk to people who have already bought a property in the area.
According to Press and Journal, foreign property ownership in the UK is likely to go up by 13 per cent year-on-year between now and 2012.
Therefore, it has issued a series of recommendations in order to help people make the most of their investments.
Rental property buyers were told that speaking with fellow investors would help them gauge the level of demand in their chosen market.
In addition, it said they would also be able to get a realistic idea about the amount of income they can expect from a buy-to-let property.
However, investors were also told to find out as much as they can about their destination of choice before visiting it first-hand.
The Press and Journal said: "There is a host of information available via the internet, at exhibitions and through the media, but it is important that you know the quality of your sources."
