Templand farmhouse is a very homely place, with oil fired Rayburn in the kitchen giving a warm welcome every time you come in. The house was built around 100 years ago and retains many original features along with all modern conveniences. Templand is situated on a working farm forty miles to the west of Aberdeen. Surrounded by magnificent scenery in a very peaceful small valley, the house lies one and a half miles from the village of Rhynie.

Templand farmhouse is situated on a working farm, where you can sometime see lambs and calves just behind the house. Wildlife such as rabbits, deer, foxes and badgers can be seen from the house. In the surrounding area there are golf courses, whiskey distilleries where you can get a tour and a dram. There are plenty of places to walk and no crowds. The town of Huntly has lots of local shops and three supermarkets, a swimming pool and a ruined castle. Huntly is only 10 miles away. Aberdeen has a lot to see and do and is 40 miles away.
