Notes on accommodation:
The apartments are serviced weekly on changeover day. Included in each apartment are: Large Austrian pillows, fluffy duvets, duvet covers (all 100% cotton bedding), cosy Austrian throws/patchwork quilts - according to season, comfy cushions, snow white towels/bath mats/face cloths, table linen/tea towels. Haus Heidi is suitable for children and has open space surrounding the chalet which is great for sledging fun in winter and in summer we are surrounded by wild flower meadows. Our apartments have full central heating and are warm and comfortable. They also have large private balconies from which to enjoy the Alpine ambiance at all times of the year. We supply balcony furniture for all the balconies: Table and chairs, sun loungers and parasols are all supplied for the private balconies attached to the apartments. In the basement of the house there is also a heated ski and boot room and additional space for storing mountain bikes and other outdoor equipment. Off-road parking spaces.
Ski:
Ramsau lies at a height of 1,200m and nestles at the foot of the Dachstein glacier which is 3,000m. Ramsau is 4km from Schladming (Hosting 2013 World Ski Championships),forming part of the Schladming-Dachstein Amade with 200 km of superb interlinked local pistes and a total of 860 km of piste on the same lift pass! The Skiing/snowboarding on offer in this area is truly world class! Snow is guaranteed locally on the Dachstein Glacier, the training ground of many international ski teams. Although this ski area is particularly good for intermediate & advanced skiers/boarders, (annually hosting famous international ski competitions such as the World Cup Night Race), Ramsau also has excellent nursery slopes for children/beginners, good English speaking ski school for all ages and some challenging reds. Ramsau is also a major centre for cross country skiing with over 150 km of beautifully prepared cross country tracks. The cross country ski track is just outside our door!
