Our 3rd floor condo is maintained to a high standard with many repeat bookings. Among 1300 acres of lush landscaping at The Plantation Golf & Country Club, Venice, it offers clean, bright accommodation with 1060 sq. ft. air conditioned interior plus 101 sq. ft. screened balcony to absorb stunning views. Open plan living comprises lounge, dining and kitchen. Bedrooms have twin beds, each with own bathroom. Full condo details elsewhere in ad. You have designated covered parking and mailbox. The elevator takes you 1 minute from the heated pool with changing rooms adjoining clubhouse, small free library and nearby barbeque. We are not club members, but the location of your holiday home could not be better. Minutes from numerous golf courses, tennis, superb beaches, shopping, restaurants, all manner of sports activities, fantastic library and YMCA (short term membership available). Need help?   • Notes regarding all inclusive MONTHLY Rental Rates (not included in above table):
    Rate for Peak Period 01 January to 31 March is $3200.00 and 01 to 30 April is $3000.00 and for Off Peak Period 01 May to 31 December is $2400.00.
  • The above rental rates are fully inclusive (excluding chargeable telephone calls for which a copy of Verizon's bill will be provided covering the period of your stay, breakages or damage reported by our managing agents), the cost of which will be deducted from your otherwise fully refundable security deposit.

    Terms: When instructed to reserve dates, we will hold same, and require a deposit of $500 within 7 days. Upon receipt, your dates will be guaranteed in writing together with an information pack sent to your home address. If no response, your dates will become reavailable. The rental balance and $500 refundable security deposit is due 30 days prior to your start date, upon receipt of which, 2 sets of keys will be mailed, including details of where to return. Payments can be directly to our bank in Venice (check or wired) or, to avoid your bank charges in the case of wired, a check can be sent to our UK home address (details will be provided) and we will mail it to our bank.
  • Cancellation. Provided we are notified not less than 8 weeks prior to your start date, your $500 rental deposit will be immediately fully refunded. If notified of cancellation during a period less than 8 weeks and up to 30 days prior to your start date, your deposit will be retained, but 50% refunded if we are able to attract alternative renters for your reserved period. If cancellation occurs after you have paid the balance of your rental and security deposit (30 days prior to your start date), with the exception of your initial $500 rental deposit, which will be forfeited, all other monies will be immediately refunded.

This main bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The guest bedroom, which overlooks the front entrance of The Fairways, has 2 single beds, bedside table with drawers, lamp and alarm clock, large louvred doors wardrobe housing additional bedding and ample space for storing luggage, large mirrored chest of drawers and a chair. Adjacent to this bedroom is the second bathroom. Should you wish to transfer the TV/VCR/Radio combo from the main bedroom to this bedroom, there is an antenna and power connection point by the mirrored chest of drawers.

Notes: The kitchen also includes: garbage disposal unit, ice maker, shelved larder with a variety of items including coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender, can opener, storage containers, etc. and a nearby storage cupboard housing a vacuum machine, ironing board, iron, brushes, dustpan, floor mop, bucket, light bulbs, cleaning solvents and last, but not least, a container with guidance instructions for use of condo items. The living room area seats six - a 2 seater and 3 seater settee and a reclining armchair, all together with side tables and various lighting. The entertainment unit also houses a number of books, including guides, and drawers containing local and widespread tourist information, restaurants, etc. Also, as with the bedrooms, in addition to air conditioning, each room has a fan. Nearby, is a facility to dispose of assorted waste, newspapers, plastic, glass and metal containers, etc. Also, a shoot to dispense plastic bag enclosed kitchen waste.

The Owners: My wife, a retired teacher, and I, a retired printer, live in Cornwall in the UK, and usually spend a few months each year at The Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Florida, where our condo is situated. Our 'Place in the Sun' has truly become our 'Home from Home'. Over the years, apart from delightful neighbours, we've cemented many friendships, including renters, many of whom book with us time and time again, one couple for instance, having spent at least 2 months a year at our condo for the past 10 years. What a great base Venice is. Difficult to think of a thing that's not within striking distance. If you plan to stay for a reasonably long period, venture down South to Miami (200 miles) and then, meander further on to The Keys and Key West. On the other hand, head North to Orlando (150 miles) and even further to captivating Charleston and Savannah. If exploring is not your 'cup of tea', just sit back, relax and watch the world go by in a recliner by the poolside.

The Renters: If you plan to be one of them, we promise you will not be disappointed. Live in bright, clean, peaceful, harmonious surroundings, yet only a few minutes from beaches, shops, restaurants, cinemas, libraries, golf courses, tennis courts, and so on . . and on . . and on.
