We have pleasure in offering for rental a delightful brand new, ski-in, ski-out apartment situated in the village of Chinaillon, close to Le Grand Bornand in the Haute Savoie region of France. The apartment enjoys stunning views across the valley and is situated in a peaceful, yet convenient location, perfect for enjoying an active yet relaxing holiday. The apartment is well appointed, with owners taking great care to ensure visitors have a high level of comfort during their stay. Les Refuges des Outalays is a small group of chalet style buildings, each building containing a small number of high quality apartments. The chalets were brand new for the 2006/2007 season. The architecture and decoration give an authentic Savoyard feeling and the chalets are located ‘en piste’. This ski-in, ski-out location is perfect for both winter and summer holidays. You only have to step out of your front door to enjoy skiing, hiking or cycling in your mountain paradise.

Situated high up in the French Alps, the area offers a multitude of activities for winter and summer visitors alike. In winter Le Grand Bornand-Chinaillon-La Clusaz is a busy ski resort (with over 220km pistes), whilst in summer it offers a wonderful base from which to explore the area. The village of Chinaillon itself provides a range of shops which include a fantastic butchers, bakery / patisserie, supermarket, hairdresser, pharmacy and sports shops. There is also a wide range of excellent restaurants, offering local specialities such as ‘tartiflette’ and ‘raclette’. Just 300m below Chinaillon lies Le Grand Bornand which offers additional amenities such as a swimming pool, ice skating rink, numerous shops and a weekly market. The picturesque landscape is dotted with typical Savoyard chalets, and in the old part of the village of Chinaillon there are a number of very beautiful traditional buildings.

Bookings are normally available from Saturday to Saturday. The villa is normally available from 4 pm on the arrival day and guests are required to vacate by 10 am on the day of departure. Other arrangements may be made.

All beds are generously proportioned. The apartment is fully equipped for your enjoyment. Kitchen facilities include oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and kettle. Bedrooms are well furnished and all bed linen is provided for your ease and comfort. The lounge is equipped with colour television and DVD player and a ski locker is provided for convenient and safe storage of skis on the ground level. A large balcony, which affords wonderful scenic views, gives the opportunity to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets at the end of an active day.

Further details for the apartment in Le Chinaillon: Ski, snowboard or relax in winter Situated at 1300m, beneath Lachat (2100m), Chinaillon enjoys an excellent snow record and offers a wide range of pistes to suit all abilities, from beginners to experts, skiers and snowboarders alike. Lessons are also available in the village if required You may choose either a ‘Le Grand Bornand’ pass, which provides a wide variety of pistes on your doorstep, or alternatively an Aravis Pass which will open up 220km of slopes between le Grand Bornand / Chinaillon and La Clusaz. 62km of cross-country skiing is also available as are well mapped walking routes. Whether skiing, snowboarding or just relaxing amidst stunning scenery, this area offers ideal environment for a perfect skiing holiday.
